Inspector Lewis

The new season of the Masterpiece Mystery 3-part mini-series Inspector Lewis will debut on June 16 on PBS at 9 PM followed by the remaining two section son June 23 and June 30.

Here are details on that 3-part mini-series:

On June 16, the episode entitled “Down Among the Fearful” finds actor Kevin Whately returning as Inspector Lewis who, with his young partner DS Hathaway, solving cases in the seemingly perfect academic haven of Oxford.

The June 23 episode entitled “The Ramblin’ Boy” finds Inspector Lewis assigned a new partner because DS Hathaway is on holiday. Together they investigate the discovery of an elderly man’s body in a field. Finding that the man has already been embalmed, the inquiry leads to a funeral home and those connected to it, including one of Lewis’ former colleagues.

Then on June 30, the final episode entitled “Intelligent Design” finds Lewis and Hathaway as they are called in to examine the brutal death of a chemistry professor — recently released from prison — who may be connected to the discovery of a murdered Oxford student lost for 15 years. As more casualties and suspects emerge, Lewis considers his future on the force.

Notes from Dad

On June 15, the Hallmark Channel movie Notes from Dad will debut at 9 PM.

Clay Allen (Eddie Cibrian) never goes anywhere without his trumpet, the instrument that made him a jazz club circuit star. But now, following a divorce and a strained relationship with his college-bound son (Travis Caldwell), Clay takes a surprising new gig as a music teacher at a local disadvantaged high school to pay the bills.

The cast includes Michael Beach, Josie Davis and Chris Sheffield.

Twisted

The new ABC Family drama Twisted will debut on June 11 at 9 PM.

The series centers on a charismatic 16-year-old with a troubled past (Avan Jogia from Victorious), who has recently reconnected with his two female best friends from childhood (Maddie Hasson from The Finder and Kylie Bunbury from Prom); but he becomes the prime suspect when a fellow student is found dead in her home.

The cast includes Denise Richards and Sam Robards.

King and Maxwell

On June 10, the new TNT drama King & Maxwell will debut at 10 PM.

Jon Tenney (The Closer) and Rebecca Romijn (Eastwick) will star as the popular characters Sean King and Michelle Maxwell created by best-selling author David Baldacci, who are not your typical private investigators. They are both former Secret Service agents, and their unique skills give them a leg up on conventional law enforcement.

Primeval New World

Also on June 8, the Canadian series Primeval: New World will debut on Syfy at 10 PM.

The series stars Niall Matter (Eureka), Sara Canning (The Vampire Diaries) and Danny Rahim (Eastenders) as a team of animal experts and scientists investigating paranormal events, while battling both prehistoric and futuristic creatures.

Sinbad

On June 8, the new drama Sinbad will debut on Syfy at 9 PM.

The 12-episode series will star Elliot Knight in the title role as Sinbad, tracking the sea-bound journey after he is forced to flee from this home town of Basra.

The series also stars Naveen Andrews (Lost) and guest stars include Dougray Scott, Sophie Okonedo and Timothy Spall.

In the Flesh

The new BBC America mini-series In The Flesh will debut on June 6 at 10 PM.

This mini deals with zombies being reintegrated into their living families and communities. Now called PDS (Partially Deceased Syndrome) sufferers, zombie teenager Kieren Walker is dealing with the same problems fitting in as his living peers, plus a whole lot of scarier issues.

Graceland

On June 6, the new USA Network series Graceland will debut at 10 PM.

The show is about a group of undercover agents from the FBI, DEA and US Customs who reside and operate under one roof.

The cast includes Daniel Sunjata (Rescue Me), Aaron Tveit (Gossip Girl), Brandon Jay McLaren (The Killing and Falling Skies), Manny Montana (the online series Cybergeddon), Serinda Swan (Breakout Kings) and Vanessa Ferlito (CSI: NY).

The pilot episode also features Courtney B. Vance (FlashForward), Jay Karnes (Burn Notice), Scottie Thompson (NCIS) and Clayne Crawford (The Glades).

The Fosters

The new ABC Family drama The Fosters will debut on June 3 at 9 PM.

This drama is about a multi-ethnic family mix of foster and biological kids being raised by two moms.

The cast includes Teri Polo, Sherri Saum (In Treatment), Jake T. Austin (Wizards of Waverly Place), Hayden Byerly (Parenthood), David Lambert (Aaron Stone), newcomer Maia Mitchell (Teen Beach Movie), Danny Nucci and Cierra Ramirez (The Secret Life of the American Teenager).
